Classes are back in full swing, for those that left Winona for break: WELCOME BACK! Here’s hoping you all had a safe and happy holiday season. Hopefully your first week of classes went swimmingly and you’re staying healthy. Don’t despair, there’s plenty going on around Winona to keep you busy and safe during these winter months…
January 17: All-Day: Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Winona State University will be closed on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day – no classes will be held.
January 19: 6:00-8:00pm: Sugar Lads Live at Blooming Grounds Coffee House: This dynamic group comes together to play some rockin’ tunes. Crank out to some classic covers and goofy originals. The Sugar Lads will have you laughing and grooving all night long. Stop in to Blooming Grounds’ main location to enjoy a hot pizza or their new featured appetizers during this set!
January 21: 5:00-7:00pm: Weekend Starter Party: Join Leighton Broadcasting for the Weekend Starter Party at Island City Brewing Company. Enjoy drink specials, games, and weekly grand prizes – as well as a chance at $1000 cash!
January 22: 9:00am-12:00pm: Indoor Farmers’ Market: Stop down on Saturday to the East End Recreation Center to get your fresh food fix, sip some coffee, interact with friends and enjoy a leisurely morning.
January 22: 7:00pm: Live Music with John Paulson Jazz: John will be joined by a group of brilliant Minnesota musicians. The group will be performing a mix of recognizable jazz standards and time-tested originals. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets are available through Eventbrite or Hardt’s Music (115 E 3rd St) in Winona.
