211 Huff St - Carriage House
Historic Living in the Carriage House
For the first time in nearly a decade, the Huff-Lamberton Mansion has open rooms for any interested college student. The Huff-Lamberton Mansion or the “Chateau of the Frontier” as it was known to early settlers, is Winona’s most historic home. Erected in 1857 by Henry & Harriet Huff, during a time when the city’s environment consisted mostly of rough lumber buildings and dirt roads — the building has been home to orphans, senior citizens, students, and families for many generations.
The buildings at the Huff-Lamberton mansion have been updated many times throughout the years, first as an orphanage in the 1960s, then as an assisted living facility in 1977, and again in 2011 when it was purchased by Bluff City Properties.
The “Carriage House” features two, 3-bedroom units. Any showing will offer the opportunity to view both units (pending availability). Large spacious bedrooms and common area spaces make this the ideal student housing rental location for a group of 3 friends, looking to live just down the street from Winona State University.
Rent for either 3-bedroom unit is $379/month each for 3 people.
